Karl Pryor is a chartered physiotherapist (MCSP), having graduated in 2025 with an MSc in Physiotherapy at Teesside University.
Coming from a sport and exercise science background, he has a special interest in strength and conditioning (S&C), it’s place within physiotherapy provision, and inter-professional collaborative care.
Karl has worked within private healthcare practice and education since 2019, with a broad range of patients, students and populations. He appreciates how the use of evidence-based S&C principles can be applied for the benefit of general population health, rehabilitation, and in the management of non-communicable diseases alongside those seeking increased athletic performance.
He is a highly experienced therapist, having worked in a number of private healthcare clinics. He utilises a broad range of therapy skillsets and tools in delivering assessment, treatment and recommendations for his clients’ individual needs.
Karl has also worked at the University of Sunderland as an Academic Tutor for the Sport and Exercise Science department, gaining accreditation with Advance HE as an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA). From here, he went on to teach Sport and Exercise Science, Personal Training and Sports Massage in Further Education (FE) and private vocational training settings.
Personally Karl is highly active, an active member of the CrossFit Blaydon community and has recently found an interest in ultra running.
